Hello, world: what Invoicing Zone is

If you bill from inside the European Union and you've ever had an accountant hand a PDF back with "you're missing the VAT note" scribbled in the corner, you already know the problem we're trying to solve.

Invoicing Zone is a small, focused web app for issuing VAT-compliant invoices under the EU VAT Directive (2006/112/EC). One workflow, three languages out of the box (English, Lithuanian, Portuguese), and a strict diet of features so the app stays understandable as it grows.

What's in the box today

• Article 226-ready invoices. All fifteen mandatory fields, sequential numbering per company, supply date tracking, and the right wording for reverse-charge and intra-Community supply baked into presets.
• Multiple billing identities under one account — useful if you run a small agency, a side project, and a sole-trader practice in parallel.
• A dashboard that tells you the truth. Year revenue, outstanding, overdue, VAT collected — per company or combined, no spreadsheet detour.
• PDF export of every invoice, suitable for digital archiving and for emailing to clients who still print paperwork.

What's coming next

We're building in public, on short hops. The next wave focuses on a public pricing page, a VAT calculator anyone can bookmark, and this blog you're reading. The goal isn't to ship every feature an accountant has ever asked for. The goal is to make the boring parts of invoicing fast, correct, and forgettable — so you can spend the saved hours on the work clients are actually paying for.
